About PowHERful Scholarships
Our PowHERful™ Scholarships combine financial assistance for tuition, room and board, and textbooks with wrap around services so that each scholar has the comprehensive support they need to graduate college and successfully transition into the workforce.
Each scholarship covers 4 years of undergraduate tuition, textbooks, and room and board, and provides a range of wraparound services during college and after graduation. These services are tailored to the specific needs of each scholar, but may include career placement, healthcare, mentorship, moving and transportation costs, and tutoring.
We offer a select number of scholarships on an annual basis so we can continue providing dedicated and responsive support to each scholar. We are currently revising our application process to ensure accessibility for young women from underserved communities who need flexible support.

What are the requirements to be in the program?
• Acceptance to an accredited four-year college, university, or equivalent
• Evidence of financial need
• Be willing to commit to 5-10 hours of community service a week
• G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher
• Completion of full application including a completed Student Aid Report from the FAFSA or the CSS Profile
Is there an age limit to apply?
You must be 17 years of age or older.
What does the foundation cover?
Scholars receive tuition, room and board, textbooks, plus additional wraparound services which include but are not limited to mentors, internships, and tutoring.
